Every Michigan community is
experiencing financial setbacks, Livonia is no different. City council
has the obligation to operate our city as efficiently and responsibly as
they can, and maintain the integrity of services to the community.
Instituting a long-term plan
is the number one priority to fixing the budget. We must reduce
spending while considering the needs of our residents and providing
quality services. Grants, community/business partnerships and other
creative solutions must be explored and pursued to augment declining
state and federal funding.
